The lake is in the central fishing zone. Northern Pike, Walleye and White Sucker can be found in Amyot Lake.
There are no parks or communities on the lake.
Little Amyot Lake Recreation Site is 11km NNW, Lac Île-à-la-Crosse (South Bay) Recreation Site is 9.9km S, Lac La Plonge Recreation Site is 26km WNW and Fort Black is 16km SSW of Amyot Lake.
