Bakers Narrows Provincial Park is 16km W, Amisk Lake Recreation Site is 14km ENE, Meridian Creek Recreation Site is 22km NE and Neso Lake Provincial Park is 23km W of Boot Lake.
The lake was officially named on 1948-03-02.
