There are no parks or communities on the lake. Cactus Lake is partially within Heart's Hill No. 352 (Rural Municipality).
Macklin Lake Regional Park is 21km SSE, Heart's Hill Wildlife Management Unit is 25km NNE and Macklin Game Preserve is 21km SSE of Cactus Lake.
