There are no parks or communities on the lake. Eagle Lake is within Porcupine No. 395 (Rural Municipality).
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park is 35km ESE and Piwei River Recreation Site is 5.7km SSE of Eagle Lake.
The lake was officially named on 1940-04-23.
