Island Lake is a medium sized lake located 25km N of Chitek Lake (Village) and 49km ESE of Meadow Lake (City). The lake has a surface area of 953 acres and is located at: 53.97949474606812,-107.73441113518258.
The lake is in the southern fishing zone. Northern Pike and Yellow Perch can be found in Island Lake.
There are no parks or communities on the lake. Island Lake is partially within Meadow Lake No. 588 (Rural Municipality) and partially within Big River No. 555 (Rural Municipality).
Chitek Lake Recreation Site is 25km N, Bug Lake Recreation Site is 7.8km N, Lac Eauclaire Recreation Site is 13km NNW and Shell Lake Recreation Site is 19km NNW of Island Lake.
The lake was officially named on 1956-10-04.
