Kazan Lake
Kazan Lake is a massive lake located 26km WNW of Île-à-la-Crosse and 160km N of Meadow Lake (City). The lake has a surface area of 19,727 acres and is located at: 55.55884405385727,-108.33355134436309.
The lake is in the central fishing zone. Burbot, Northern Pike, Walleye, White Sucker and Yellow Perch can be found in Kazan Lake.
Gatehouse Island Wildlife Refuge is within the lake.
Canoe Lake Recreation Site is 43km N and Canoe Lake (Cole Bay) Recreation Site is 43km N of Kazan Lake.
The lake was officially named on 1932-05-03. The name Kazan Lake is of Chipewyan, Dene Suline origin.
