The lake is in the southern fishing zone. Burbot, Cisco, Lake Trout, Lake Whitefish, Northern Pike, White Sucker and Yellow Perch can be found in Lac Eauclaire.

There are no parks or communities on the lake. Lac Eauclaire is within Pelican Lake 191C (Reserve).

Chitek Lake Recreation Site is 12km NNE, Bug Lake Recreation Site is 6.5km SSE, Island Lake Recreation Site is 14km SSE and Shell Lake Recreation Site is 6.4km WNW of Lac Eauclaire.

The lake was officially named on 1956-10-04.
