Lac La Ronge Provincial Park is adjacent the lake. Little Lake is partially within Stanley 157 (Reserve).
MacKay Lake Recreation Site is 22km ESE, Holy Trinity Anglican Church/Stanley Mission Historic Site is 2.5km SSW, Holy Trinity Anglican Church and Stanley Mission Historic Site is 2.5km SSW of Little Lake.
The lake was officially named on 1949-12-01.
