There are no parks or communities on the lake. Little Whitewood Lake is partially within Kawacatoose First Nation 88 (Reserve) and partially within Mount Hope No. 279 (Rural Municipality).
Mount Hope Wildlife Management Unit is 28km ESE, Raymore Recreation Site is 17km ENE and Touchwood Hills Post Provincial Park is 24km NW of Little Whitewood Lake.
