There are no parks or communities on the lake. Lizard Lake is within Lac Pelletier No. 107 (Rural Municipality).
Duncairn Reservoir Bird Sanctuary is 17km ESE and Lac Pelletier Regional Park is 6km SSW of Lizard Lake.
The lake was officially named on 1964-08-26.
