Big River Regional Park is 24km NNW, Nesslin Lake Recreation Site is 27km WNW, Delaronde Lake (Zig Zag Bay) Recreation Site is 17km NW, Hackett Lake Recreation Site is 16km WSW, Cowan Dam Recreation Site is 26km SE and Top Lake Recreation Site is 20km WNW of Lost Lake.
The lake was officially named on 1951-04-05.
