Manitou Lake
Manitou Lake is a salt lake located in Saskatchewan, Canada, near the border with Alberta. It is part of an Important Bird Area that covers several neighbouring lakes and land areas. The lake has no fish because of its high salinity, but it attracts many waterfowl and shorebirds. Manitou Island, which used to be in the centre of the lake, is now connected to the southern shore as the water level has lowered over time. Along the southern shore, there are also the Manitou Sand Hills, a large area of sand dunes and grasslands.
