The lake is in the central fishing zone. Northern Pike and Yellow Perch can be found in Minnow Lake.
There are no parks or communities on the lake. Minnow Lake is within Meadow Lake No. 588 (Rural Municipality).
Pagan Lake Recreation Site is 20km NE, Saint Cyr Hills Trails Recreation Site is 29km N, Meadow Lake Provincial Park is 54km E, Beaver/Cowan Rivers Recreation Site is 17km WNW and Beatty Lake Recreation Site is 17km WSW of Minnow Lake.
