The lake is within Porcupine Hills Provincial Park. Pepaw Lake is partially within Hudson Bay No. 394 (Rural Municipality).
Parr Hill Lake Recreation Site is 5.6km NNW, McBride Lake Recreation Site is 11km ESE, Saginas Lake Recreation Site is 9.5km S and Porcupine Provincial Forest is 7.4km E of Pepaw Lake.
