The lake is in the southern fishing zone. Northern Pike, Walleye and White Sucker can be found in Shutte Lake. It was last stocked in 2022 with 50,000 Walleye Fry.
There are no parks or communities on the lake. Shutte Lake is within Hazel Dell No. 335 (Rural Municipality).
