There are no parks or communities on the lake. Tennant Lake is partially within Hudson Bay No. 394 (Rural Municipality) and partially within Livingston No. 331 (Rural Municipality).
Parr Hill Lake Recreation Site is 21km ESE, Woody River Recreation Site is 22km SW, Whitefish Lake Provincial Park is 21km W and Pepaw Lake Recreation Site is 25km ESE of Tennant Lake.
