There are no parks or communities on the lake. Wolf Lake is partially within Amisk Lake 184 (Reserve).
Amisk Lake Recreation Site is 24km W, Meridian Creek Recreation Site is 23km WNW and Hanson Lake Recreation Site is 26km ESE of Wolf Lake.
The lake was officially named on 1949-07-07.
